Wasted Summer Vacations

I’m a 40-year-old teacher. I’ve had summer vacations for most of my adult life. And looking back, I’m ashamed I didn’t better invest in that free time.

Every single summer I’ve had a part-time job: cashier, summer school teacher, painter, and janitor.

Notice something about all these jobs? None of them create passive income.

Imagine if I had spent that time building my TeachersPayTeachers store or learning about investing or affiliate marketing….or starting a blog.

I could still be reaping the benefits of the work I did back then. Unfortunately I traded my time for money I would only be paid once.

Advice for teachers: Spend your summers building something that will pay you far into the future!
