American History Plans (K-6)

24 Weeks of  American history reading plans in PDF format along with an editable Microsoft Excel version for custom-fitting the lesson plans to your family’s preferences. Includes three years’ worth of read alouds for cycling back through American history multiple times!

This American history reading plan may be used with or without Classical Conversations. For CC families, this plan correlates with 5th Edition but will also work for 4th edition.

The 96-page PDF includes reading plans for 24 weeks consisting of reading schedules, correlations, read aloud schedules, book suggestions, loop schedules, and a memory work review schedule. Additional planning pages are included, such as an attendance log, grade log, monthly and yearly calendars, subject planning pages, and blank daily and weekly planner pages.

The appendix includes single-page reference sheets for our Memory Work Review Schedule andThe Story of the World, Scholastic, and The Mystery of History reading correlations, as well as topical booklists for read alouds, picture books, leveled readers, Who Was… books, Imagination Station and more!
